Bennington Green Raise Funds for Charity at Golf Day

Oct. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- A break in the weather provided a glorious sunny day for the golfers and enabled them to enjoy a Pimms (or two!) on the way round the course.

This annual event was again kindly hosted by Parkstone Golf Club and kicked off with bacon baps for breakfast before play commenced, with representatives from local and national construction and property related companies taking part.

Members of the club were also very welcoming and entered into the spirit of the day, taking Pimms and cakes on the 7^th and 13^th provided by AE Marketing Solutions.

Nigel Soloman, MD of Bennington Green said; “We are honoured that Parkstone allow us to hold our charity golf day there as it is one of the best courses on the circuit. The players always enthuse about the stunning scenery and the fantastic facilities they have on offer, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful to ensure the day went without a hitch.

“We are grateful to all our many sponsors including Tipmaster, Quantum Recruitment, Richmond Home Improvements, Bourne Estates, MC Plan and Site Services, Clarke Wilmott solicitors, Thermal & Acoustic Solutions and Volsen to name but a few, and also to the local companies and golf courses who provided items for our charity auction which enabled us to raise so much for charity.”

He added, “We are delighted with all the support we received to make it such a success.  We are still in the process of balancing the books but all proceeds will go to Macmillan Caring Locally and The Grove Hotel, which Bennington Green is very proud to support.  It is such a worthy charity that offers respite for patients and their families whilst going through the most difficult times and offers a priceless service to its clients” he said.
