QUINCY, Mass. - Oct. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Quincy, MA (October 27, 2014) – G-Force Shipping, one of Massachusetts’ fastest growing companies is challenging its employees, families, friends and customers to raise $20,000 to benefit two local charitable organizations near and dear to the heart of the Third Party Logistics industry leader.

An active member in Greater Boston philanthropy with year-long charitable partners including the South Shore YMCA, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay and the Friendship Home of Norwell, G-Force is holding an exclusive charity challenge running through Thursday, October 30th aiding the Ellie Fund of Needham, MA and the Germantown YMCA in G-Force’s hometown of Quincy, MA.

“As a company, we make a concerted effort on a year round basis to better our local community and aid those in need,” said G-Force CEO, Scott Guilbeault. “In the middle of breast cancer awareness month and due to the close personal connections we share with the missions of both the Ellie Fund and Germantown YMCA, we felt compelled to launch a one-time charity challenge and further our positive impact throughout Greater Boston.”

The beneficiaries of G-Force’s charity challenge were determined by Guilbeault’s mother, Liz, who is currently battling breast cancer herself and raised Guilbeault as a financially struggling single mother in Hyde Park, MA. Liz immediately decided that all funds will benefit the Ellie Fund which is leading the charge in the fight against breast cancer here in Massachusetts and the Germantown YMCA which aids hundreds of local youths growing up with the same struggles that Guilbeault did as a child.

“The month of October always presents enormous generosity from local companies such as G-Force in joining our fight against this terrible disease and with their help we look to continue this fight and help countless women across the state such as Liz who are affected,” said Ellie Fund Founder and Board President, Jeff Popkin.

To instill extra motivation with G-Force employees, families, friends and customers to meet their charitable goal, Guilbeault has promised to shave his full head of hair on October 30th in their Quincy office if the company hits $20K and has agreed to dye his hair hot pink if G-Force falls short but still reaches $10K.
