By: Hudson Table

HOBOKEN, N.J. - Nov. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Hudson Table, a culinary studio, will open its doors November 8, 2014, at 1405 Clinton Street in uptown Hoboken, NJ. It’s the first culinary studio in Hoboken, offering residents of Hoboken and neighboring communities a truly unique experience. Co-founders and brothers, Allen Bari and Taposh Bari, have lived in Hoboken for years and quickly recognized the need for a high-end culinary studio, catering to students ranging from novice to enthusiast, children through adults.

“Living just across the river from Manhattan, North Jersey residents have become accustomed to top-quality food and interesting culinary experiences when visiting the city. But over the past 10 years, the New Jersey waterfront has seen incredible development of sophisticated dining spots and a spike in interest for the culinary arts. Hudson Table was conceived with the local community in mind and a philosophy built around inspiring the inner-chef in all of us. We are looking to foster an inviting and memorable experience shaped by an ongoing feedback loop between our team and our customers,” said A. Bari.

The space, designed by the Bari brothers, will offer 7-9 hands-on cooking classes per week. Each class will have a theme – like Tuscan Kitchen, Knife Skills and several holiday-themed classes for the kids – where students will be provided everything they need to participate. There will also be several one-dish workshops, which will teach students to make one impressive dish, like Paella. The space is equipped with Wolf stoves, Japanese-made Haku and Shun knives, All-Clad cookware and Le Creuset French ovens.

The classes will be taught by 8-10 world-class chefs, who have trained at schools like The French Culinary Institute. At the helm is Melanie Cecillo, serving as class curator, recipe developer and in-house chef. A long-time food lover and passionate cook, Cecillo has previously consulted for brands like Nestle and Kraft, established a recreational cooking school in the Philippines and continues to teach culinary classes at some of New York City’s leading culinary schools. “I fell in love with food more ways than one, it became a passion and my career. I’m incredibly excited to share my knowledge, experience and passion with the community,” said Cecillo.

Registration is now open for classes in November and December, with January classes coming soon. Weekday classes are held from 6:30-9:30 and there are several on the weekends. The hands on classes are $90-100 per person. The one-dish workshops are 1½ hours in length and will be $65 per person.

The modern, yet rustic space will be available for private events like showers, birthday parties, anniversaries, corporate parties, teambuilding events and more. The 1,300 square foot studio will also be offered for other professional purposes like photo shoots, film production, recipe development and catering.
