Ashley Russo Co-Hosts American Heart Association “Purse”onality Auction

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Nov. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Ashley Russo, host of The PEAK TV, shared emcee duties at the American Heart Association - Lehigh Valley Division’s “Purse”onality Auction, held on November 13^th at the Lehigh Country Club.  69 News at Sunrise anchor, Eve Tannery, joined Ms. Russo in hosting the evening’s activities.  The event benefitted Lehigh Valley’s Go Red for Women campaign, whose mission is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

“Too often, women are preoccupied with the health of others; we need to take the time needed to care for ourselves,” said Ashley Russo, commenting on the importance of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women’s mission.  “It is so important that women work together to raise awareness, to ensure that we understand the risks associated with heart disease and, most importantly, learn how to avoid cardiovascular issues altogether.

Designer bags filled with gifts, donated by more than 20 local women business and community leaders including Ms. Russo, were up for auction to the highest bidder.  The “Purse”onalties event, which raised over $4,000, kicks off the 2015 Go Red for Women campaign, culminating with the annual Go Red for Women luncheon to be held at DeSales University on Thursday, May 7, 2015.
