RALEIGH, N.C. - Nov. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- NASCAR driver Kyle Busch and his wife Samantha contributed $53,000 through the Kyle Busch Foundation for Pretty in Pink Foundation at the 2014 “Project Pink: Protect Your Pair”  Fundraiser at 5Church Restaurant in Charlotte. More than 90% of donations to Pretty In Pink Foundation go directly to providing the funding required for necessary treatment, surgery, support and resources to help breast cancer patients win the fight.

Through our current program with the Kyle Busch Foundation’s ‘Project Pink: Protect Your Pair’, Pretty In Pink Foundation will be able to financially assist 16 North Carolina “Champions” with life-saving breast cancer treatments in the areas of surgery, chemotherapy administration, radiation, office co-pays and COBRA insurance,” said Dr. Lisa Tolnitch, a breast cancer surgeon with Duke Cancer Institute and founder of Pretty In Pink Foundation. “Champion is the name we honorably give those we help.”

“Our appreciation goes out to Kyle, his wife Samantha and the Kyle Busch Foundation for their continued support and recognition of the importance of Pretty In Pink Foundation’s mission and vision. This is the second year their commitment has helped to raise awareness and the funds needed enabling us to provide financial assistance to uninsured and underinsured breast cancer patients,” offered Penny Lauricella, MHA and Executive Director of Pretty In Pink Foundation.

“Thanks go out to head sponsors Toyota, Monster Energy, Sprint, Interstate Batteries, Joe Gibbs Racing, Mars Chocolate North America, C.F. Parks & Company, Inc., Dollar General and NASCAR Corporation for their support. Without the continued financial donations of our sponsors and partners, our bigger vision of having a point of presence in every state by 2020, wouldn't be possible,” shared Beth Meadlock, Pretty In Pink Foundation’s Regional Program Manager for Western North Carolina.

Pretty In Pink Foundation financial supporters and volunteers help in continuing to move their mission forward. For more information and to see personal stories of their champions triumphing over breast cancer, visit PrettyInPinkFoundation.org (https://www.prettyinpinkfoundation.org/).
