Hurley re-elected President of UWUA Local 369 BRAINTREE, MA, ISSUED NOVEMBER 18, 2014…Daniel F. Hurley of Braintree has been re-elected as President of the Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) Local 369 for a second three-year term. As such, Hurley, who ran unopposed during the recent election, will continue to oversee the direction of the union, one of the largest in the state, working closely with the rest of the leadership team. Hurley has been a member of Local 369 since 1989, when he joined Boston Edison as an underground splicers helper. His union affiliation, however, dates back even further, having been in the Longshoremen’ “It is a privilege and an honor to once again serve as president of UWUA Local 369,” said Hurley. “I will continue to be an active voice for labor, working families and the utility workers and a strong advocate for positive changes within the utilities industry.” The South Boston native graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Boston with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and last year earned his law degree from the Massachusetts School of Law. He resides in Braintree, MA with his wife and four children. In addition to Dan Hurley’s re-election, his leadership team was also re-elected, including Craig Pinkham as Secretary-Treasurer and Dan Leary as Executive Vice President. About UWUA Local 369 UWUA Local 369 represents 3300 union energy professionals, keeping the cities and towns in Eastern and Central Massachusetts, as well as the Cape and Islands, powered with natural gas, electric and nuclear energy. The union represents workers at NSTAR, Boston Generating, National Grid, Entergy, Exelon, Liberty Electric, New England Gas, Elec Comm, Hingham Municipal Lighting, Veolia Energy Distragas and NRG.
