Two local organizations partner together to inspire community

INDIANAPOLIS - Nov. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- The Central Indiana Coalition for Men’s Discipleship and the Indy Public Safety Foundation are pleased to announce their one night benefit dinner, “Gifted Hands: An Evening with Dr. Ben Carson” on December 10^th, dinner beginning at 5:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. keynote at the JW Marriott, located at 10 S. West St.

With the increasing violence in the City of Indianapolis, these organizations are partnering together with the hope of enhancing the quality of life and safety of all citizens throughout the City. They also hope to inspire youth to follow the path of higher education and to overcome obstacles including poverty and low self-esteem.

Dr. Ben Carson will be the keynote speaker during the benefit dinner in which he will address his background of overcoming poverty, a horrible temper, poor grades and realizing his dream of wanting to become a doctor. To date, Dr. Carson performed the first completely successful separation of Craniopagus (Siamese) twins joined at the back of the head in 1987.

“We believe that unfortunately behind most of the socio-economic issues that we face today, is the moral failure of a man or men. Men don't wake up wondering how they will fail that day, it's not an intentional thing, but far too many do fail. Our goal and desire is to see men become better husbands, fathers and leaders”, said Rob Leonard of The Central Indiana Coalition for Men’s Discipleship with Man in The Mirror.
