The first issue out today also features NFI projects on blood ageing and the chemical profiling of explosives. It also looks at how the Natural History Museum is leading the way in forensic entomology – which uses insects to age bodies at a crime scene. We also feature new research that is assessing the accuracy of police cadaver dogs. There are also features on a cold case review, using pollen evidence in rape investigations and best practice advice around CCTV, mobile phones and digital forensics. “The aim of our new title is to bridge the gap between research and practice and bring our readers the latest projects that are making a real difference to the frontline and to the outcome of criminal investigations,” “Forensic science plays such a major role in today’s criminal investigations and we hope we can contribute in some way to highlighting all the good work that is happening in this area across the world.” For more information email Carol at Carol@the-investigator.co.uk To subscribe visit www.the-investigator.co.uk End
