Starkey Mortgage Giving Back to Our Communities

PLANO, Texas - Dec. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- For the second year in a row, Starkey Mortgage (WR Starkey Mortgage, LLP NMLSR #2146) challenged all their employees to a charity challenge. This challenge was for all employees to donate a minimum of 5 hours of time to a charity of their choice by Dec 1, 2015. We are proud to say that once again, they have met the challenge!

Because of their time and generosity, not only did we reach 100% employee participation in our 2015 Charity Challenge, but we far surpassed what we hoped we would achieve.  With great pride and warm hearts, our employees contributed well over 3000 man hours to over 300 organizations in our communities. Some donated time to local food banks or animal shelters, some coached youth sports and many were just extra hands helping the charity fulfill their purpose. In addition to these man hours served, many of our offices also donated over 2757 canned foods to their local food banks at a cost that is hard to measure, but likely accounts for another $2875 in employee contributions.

“This was the most rewarding result I had the privilege of reporting to our employees,” said Jim Clapp, President/CFO of Starkey Mortgage. “It was far more rewarding than any production number or financial result.”
