Color Purple to headline at High Point Theatre for three day run

HIGH POINT, N.C. - Dec. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- The Cupboard Inc., a non-profit organization based in Indianapolis, IN is pleased to announce their run of Oprah Winfrey’s The Color Purple coming to High Point, December 11-13^th at the High Point Theatre, located at 220 E. Commerce Ave, 27260.

The Cupboard Inc. is currently embarking on a tour of the production in which the production company aims to promote the launching of their mobile food pantry to help families in need across the United States.

“We leverage events to help a community.” said Joyce Licorish, president of The Cupboard Inc. and also stars in the show as Sophia.

The show will consist of a joyous score that includes jazz, gospel and many more sounds that will keep the crowd moving. The dance numbers are also very instrumental in the show as it helps to tell the background stories of Celie, Nettie, Shug and Mista throughout the show.

“This is a great show. There are parts where you will cry, laugh out loud and even get mad. There is that comedy relief as well.” said Licorish who is known for her rendition of “Hell No!” in the show.
