Holmes Recognized as Named Shareholder

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. - Dec. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- After his 21 years practicing law and serving the local community, the Farr Law Firm has recognized firm president David A. Holmes as a named shareholder. The firm’s official name has been changed to Farr, Farr, Emerich, Hackett, Carr and Holmes, P.A.

“It is a well-deserved recognition of David’s tireless efforts on behalf of the firm and our clients,” said Guy S. Emerich, former president, who oversees the firm’s trusts and estates practice.

“It is a great honor to receive this special recognition from my firm” said Holmes who began practicing law with the firm in 1993.

Founded in 1924, with 8 shareholders, 6 associates and one of-counsel attorney, Farr, Farr, Emerich, Hackett, Carr and Holmes, P.A. is Charlotte County’s oldest and largest law firm.

A native of Port Charlotte, Holmes holds his Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from Stetson University College of Law in 1993 and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida. Holmes has served as the firm’s president since 2009.  He practices law in the areas of asset protection, civil litigation, commercial and construction disputes, corporate and business law and real estate. He is certified as a circuit court mediator by the Florida Supreme Court.
