By: Lab Lateral The Better Bones website (http://betterbones.kingston.gov.uk/) The Royal Borough of Kingston’s public health responsibilities include health improvement, assurance of local health protection services and providing commissioning support for the Kingston Clinical Commissioning Group (KCCG) which is the local body responsible for buying local health services. More than £15 million is set to be spent in Kingston over the next two years on innovative, integrated adult health and social care services. “Today, contacting residents at risk of osteoporosis and getting them to attend an assessment session is a very manual and time-consuming process for us,” said Aniko Szucs, Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. “The health of our bones is instrumental to our health and longevity in general, and so we hope that this new website will help us reach out, educate, inform, and help people live in the best way for longer.” Chris Williams, client account director, Lab, said, “This was a wonderful project to work on with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames on what is an important topic for us all. We have a lot of experience in developing websites in the health sector to allow people to conduct self-assessment, and help educate themselves about various conditions. Education on looking after yourself is what this new website will promote, and we hope it helps makes a significant difference to people’s lives.” About Lab Lab is one of the leading independent digital agencies in the UK, working with brands who want to give their customers personalised experiences online.
