NHTSA Grants Five-Star Safety Award to 2015 Dodge ChallengerThe latest Dodge Challenger has taken home the highest Overall Safety Rating the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has to offer.
By: Bosak Motor In order for a vehicle to take home such a high Overall Safety Rating, it has to take home top scores in all NHTSA safety tests, and with over 70 safety features available on the Challenger, it was practically a shoe-in. Scott Kunselman, the Senior VP of Vehicle Safety for the brand responded to the award, saying “The new Dodge Challenger coupe further demonstrates our commitment to broaden the proliferation of advanced safety technologies, such as driver-assist features.” The NHTSA pointed out the advanced forward collision warning system available on the Challenger as the kind of state-of-the- Dodge's latest Challenger is the only model in its class that can offer forward collision warning, but it's far from the only high-tech safety feature of the new muscle car. Amenities like rear cross-path detection and blind-spot monitoring are available as well. With Challenger models starting at just $26,995, it's hard to find a reason not to drive it. This new model is quite the joy to look at too, with 1971-inspired design elements and a cabin with the latest in high tech and high-class features. It's no coincidence that the Challenger just had its best November ever, with sales of 4,157 for a 52% jump over last year's November sales.
