CleftClips Productions Presents The Super Serious Show at RIOT LA

LOS ANGELES - Jan. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- CleftClips Productions is pleased to present The Super Serious Show at Los Angeles’ premier alternative comedy festival, RIOT LA. With co-headliners and co-hosts Kate Berlant (Time Out Los Angeles 2015 Comedians To Watch) and John Early (New York Times Critics’ Pick), the show will take place on January 17^th at 7 p.m. at The Smell. The lineup is set to include T.J. Miller (Silicon Valley), Nick Thune (The Tonight Show), Nate Craig (Comedy Central), Jerrod Carmichael (HBO) and John Roberts (Bob’s Burgers).

A live comedy mash-up and immersive experience, The Super Serious Show has run for four years in Los Angeles, bringing top comics, as well as outstanding up-and-comers, to packed audiences monthly. Featuring stand-up, sketch, comedy videos, music, and more, Super Serious has been a part of numerous festivals, including Edinburgh Fringe, South By Southwest, Just For Laughs Chicago, Moontower Comedy & Oddity, Bridgetown Comedy.

“We’ve been involved with RIOT LA since its first year,” said CleftClips Executive Producer Joel Mandelkorn. “RIOT is a great representation of Los Angeles indie comedy, all crammed into one weekend and one city block. Getting to add our little slice of silly to the fest is always a treat.”

CleftClips will also be co-presenting and co-producing Sam Simmons’s RIOT LA show, Clown for Sale. Two-time nominee for Best Show by Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards, Clown for Sale will take place January 18^th at 11:00 p.m. at The Smell and features Australian comic Sam Simmons (Conan) in “an hour of unadulterated mind plonkering.”
