Follow on Google News | Metal Legends Overcast to Play First Show in Boston Area in 17 YearsOVERCAST, featuring members of Killswitch Engage and Shadows Fall, will play four shows in early 2015, including their first show in Cambridge, MA in nearly 20 years. They'll be joined by THE EMPIRE SHALL FALL and SWARM OF EYES on two of the dates.
By: Swarm of Eyes OVERCAST, one of the forefathers of modern American metal, includes Mike D'Antonio of Killswitch Engage, Brian Fair of Shadows Fall, Jay Fitzpatrick of Acaro, and former Killswitch Engage member Pete Cortese. On their first outing in over a year, the band will play The Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, Massachusetts on January 29th and a matinee show at Ralph's Rock Diner at 2pm on February 1st. On two of the four shows, OVERCAST band will be joined by THE EMPIRE SHALL FALL (featuring vocalist Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage) and SWARM OF EYES on two of the four shows. Fans can catch all three bands together at the January 30th show at The Ruins at the Collosseum in THE EMPIRE SHALL FALL's hometown of Providence, Rhode Island, as well at Ralph's Rock Diner in Worcester, Massachusetts on the evening of January 31st. Formed in 2008, THE EMPIRE SHALL FALL is a progressive fusion of metal, hardcore, and jazz. This is the band's first outing since Leach rejoined Killswitch Engage in 2012. SWARM OF EYES, joining OVERCAST and THE EMPIRE SHALL FALL for two of the four shows, will be playing new material from their upcoming EP, as well as songs from their debut release, Designing the Dystopia. Tickets for both the January 31st and February 1st shows in Worcester have already sold out. However, tickets are still available for both the January 29th show in Cambridge and January 30th show in Providence. End
