Tayside Solicitors Raise Money in Memory of Dundee Solicitor

PERTH, Scotland - Jan. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Tayside solicitors, Miller Hendry, have raised more than £500 for charity by swapping Christmas cards for donations to charity in memory of Eileen Matthew, a partner at the legal firm who sadly passed away unexpectedly last year. The money raised will go to the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund, an international development charity that was close to Eileen’s heart.

Eileen Matthew, a well-respected and much loved partner at Miller Hendry for the past fifteen years, specialised in conveyancing and was the head of the firm’s Residential Property Department. Eileen was a devoted mother of two daughters and worked alongside her husband, Alan, also a partner at the legal firm’s Dundee offices.

Staff across the solicitors’ Dundee, Perth and Crieff offices raised the sum of £255.72 and the firm matched the amount to bring the total to over £511.44 for Eileen’s preferred charity.

Alan Matthew, Eileen’s husband and Partner at Miller Hendry said:

“Eileen would have been very pleased that money has been raised for the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF). It is a very worthy cause and Eileen was a great supporter. I’d like to say thank you to my colleagues and to the firm who have contributed so generously in her memory.”
