Follow on Google News | ![]() Dancer's Gallery in Cooper City Kicks off 2015 with a Bang!By: Dancer's Gallery Dancer’s Gallery, an established Dance Studio of 18 years presented their Annual Winter Showcase on Sunday, December 14, 2014 to family, friends and the community of Cooper City, Florida. “The event was a huge success and exceeded our expectations” Dancer's Gallery celebrated the Grand Opening of their new location in Cooper City, a beautiful 10,000 square foot Performing Arts Center. The studio was previously located in Miramar Square on the corner of Flamingo Rd and Miramar Parkway from 2009 to 2014. Before that, they were in operation in Pembroke Pines on the corner of 184th Avenue and Pines Blvd in the Publix Shopping Center. Their new space in Cooper City offers two levels with five dance studios, a private piano / voice room, and two spacious lobbies. “Our passion for enhancing children’s lives with the arts continues as we move forward into the new year at our exciting new campus”, says Stark. A beautiful Sunday canvased the event. The Mayor of Cooper City, Mr. Greg Ross, along with owners, parents, teachers and students cut the red ribbon symbolizing the inauguration of the new space. Among those in attendance were: Christie Stark, Studio Owner / President, Eric Ubiera, Vice President of Operations, Teddy Talbot, Executive Director, Viviana Rosario, Public Relations / Marketing Manager along with great representation of many talented young dancers and their families. The show started promptly at 12:00pm with their elite Competition Team performing a beautiful piece “Bring on the Men” choreographed by the talented instructor and Competition Team Director, Mr. Luke Stockton. The Performance Company Team brought on the “fire” to the stage with their amazing number “Fire Ball”; choreographed by Ms. Cherrise Pawlak, Director of the Performance Company Team. The extravaganza continued showcasing beautiful pieces by talented dancers, from little princesses dancing to the rhythm of “Jingle Bell Rock” to young adults performing “Fly”. The show introduced their Jr. Hip Hop and Senior Hip Hop Company Teams and their very unique Belly Dance Troupe. “Our girls did an amazing job performing their Belly Dance routine. Their dedication and hard work really shined through", says Antonella Abraham, Belly Dance Troupe Director. Their Annual Winter Show is put together to showcase the progress of the dancers training mid-year. Dancer’s Gallery prides themselves in putting on the best show in the business during their annual recital in June which is always held at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts. The community of Cooper City and surrounding areas enjoyed quality entertainment inside their black box theatre with dance and theatrical performances. Outside of the school there was entertainment for the entire family to include a bounce house, cotton candy and massages. It was certainly the definition of Sunday Funday. Dancer’s Gallery partnered with some great sponsors from the local Cooper City community. Dancer’s Gallery continues to welcome new students into their studio. Their training, professionalism and standards assure that those that want to perform are ready to put on a fantastic show at the end of the season. “This can only be accomplished by having dancers in appropriate skilled level classes so progress is marked and expected at a higher level.”, says Christie Stark. Dancer’s Gallery is located in the Cooper City Commerce Center on Flamingo Road, just north of Stirling Road on the east side.
