"Rabboni" - Poetry Expresses a Variety of Themes: Love & Hate, Peace & War

NEW YORK - Jan. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Nigerian poet Ulasi Tochukwu Christopher wrote his inspiring poetry collection as expression of his thoughts on nature, culture, war, and worship, as well as on love and hate.

The poems in Rabboni are a compendium of the dream-adventures of a young man who assumes and acts as different characters.

The author felt the need to highlight the joy, love, and beauty of different societies alongside the prevalent woes, wars, and hatreds that often mar them. His poetry is mostly based on thoughts of survival and conquest, and it is highly personal.

About the Author: Ulasi Tochukwu Christopher was born in the royal family of Akabo-Ezeakwanighi, Okpuno Ezechukwu Otolo Nnewi in Nnewi-North Local Government Area of Anambra State in southeastern Nigeria. He has a university degree and is an officer in one of the biggest business conglomerates in Nigeria. He was once an executive member of the Association of Nigerian Authors, Enugu State chapter. He previously self-published three books: The Return of a God (drama); The Throbbing of the Heart (poetry); and The Sounds of Silence (short stories). His creative works have appeared in journals and an anthology, and he is presently working on a novel and a collection of short stories.
