Supporting Jenks High School Seniors Through ArtBy: Josh Stout The Jenks Chamber of Commerce 2015 Inaugural Banquet will be held Thursday, January 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the Oklahoma Aquarium. It benefits the George Tedford Scholarship Fund via a $1,500 annual scholarship awarded to a Jenks High School Senior who plans to major in business. Josh will be donating proceeds from a painting to be auctioned off at the event. "First Dance" an 18x36 original oil on canvas finely crafted with the best American made oil paint and completely produced using only knives! This peice comes out of the "Tribute" series, in which this impressionist painting was created from a pow wow were a dancer was competing for the top prize in her class.... .......when the dance was done, while the beat of the drum still played, I watched as the young mother picked up her beautiful newborn baby girl and took her on her first dance. I quickly picked up my sketchpad and charcoal and went to work, capturing only a moment of whats been a tradition for thousands of years.... Josh lives and works out of his studio in Jenks, Oklahoma. His artwork is represented in the permanent collections of collectors world wide from New York to New Zealand.
