PRLog -- For the 27th year the Dane County Council of Snowmobile Clubs (DCCSC) will host “Blizzard Blast,” a fundraiser to benefit Easter Seals Wisconsin. The event will be held on Saturday, February 7 at The Red Mouse in Pine Bluff (Cross Plains) starting at 4:00 p.m. Blizzard Blast is open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend. The event will feature a chili cook-off, silent auction, raffles, door prizes, chili and soup dinner which includes free beer and soda, and a DJ with karaoke. Tickets are $20 and include raffle entry, food, beer and soda. Weather and snow cover permitting, an organized pledge ride will be held with the proceeds benefiting Easter Seals Wisconsin. The partnership between the DCCSC and Easter Seals Wisconsin began 27 years ago when the National Snowmobile Foundation became a corporate sponsor of the national Easter Seals organization, and asked local clubs to find creative methods to support their area Easter Seals affiliates. In Dane County, the clubs chose to give that support through Blizzard Blast. Their outstanding support was recognized in 2007 when the DCCSC was named Outstanding Fundraising Group for Easter Seals Wisconsin. Blizzard Blast raises about $10,000 each year; DCCSC has donated more than $250,000 to Easter Seals Wisconsin since the event began in 1988.
