Follow on Google News | Joe Gussel Joins Easter Seals Wisconsin Board of DirectorsHaving grown up in Wisconsin Dells, Gussel has always been aware of Easter Seals Camp Wawbeek and supported the camp’s mission. He has memories of his father, Bud, building wheelchair accessible piers for his fishing pond so that campers could have a chance to fish. His family’s business, Holiday Wholesale, has long been a supporter of Easter Seals Wisconsin. However, it was not until several years ago that Gussel really got involved. Gussel was invited to participate in the annual Golf Outing for Kids that takes place in Wisconsin Dells to benefit Camp Wawbeek. After spending the day on the golf course, participants head to Camp Wawbeek where the awards are handed out and dinner is served. Golfers have the opportunity to meet the campers and experience what Camp Wawbeek is like firsthand. Since that visit to camp, Gussel was hooked. He has been an active member on the planning committee for the Golf Outing ever since and currently serves as its chairman. “I look forward to this chance to provide opportunities to others,” said Gussel. Gussel lives in Wisconsin Dells with his wife, Pam, and has three grown daughters Courtney, Tricia and Caitlyn and a granddaughter Olivia Joyce.
