NextLot Continues Its Upward Growth Trend in 2014

RALEIGH, N.C. - Jan. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- NextLot, Inc., an online auction software company based in Raleigh, NC, just experienced another year of tremendous growth.  In 2014, NextLot’s clients had a banner year selling over $1.5 billion of gross merchandise using the NextLot platform. Perhaps most importantly, NextLot pushed up the final sold prices at its clients’ auctions by over $167 million.Assuming that the average auctioneer charges a 10% buyer’s premium, NextLot helped its clients earn an additional $16.7 million in commission by using its service, a 27% increase from 2013.

The fourth quarter was a particularly strong quarter for NextLot in the agricultural machinery space. NextLot set the record by helping its clients sell $40 million of farm equipment in the fourth quarter alone.  A specific Midwestern farm equipment auction company had a record year with Nextlot.  The auctioneer sold over 30% online in the final quarter of the year while online bidders pushed up prices by over $3 million, or 40% of total sales.

NextLot’s innovative online auction solution has helped the company expand its presence globally.  In Australia, NextLot’s clients sold 48% more auction merchandise to online bidders than last year.  In Europe, NextLot had a record year with clients running over 400 auctions through the platform, an increase of 38% from last year.  NextLot looks forward to what 2015 has to bring.
