Thrush Aircraft Inc. Moves to the Cloud with Emergys AES with SAP

MORRISVILLE, N.C. - Jan. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Emergys Corporation, an SAP cloud-enablement company, focused on helping organizations align their long-term IT strategies and business objectives with SAP, today announced the successful go-live implementation in the cloud of Emergys Accelerated Enterprise Solution (“AES”), powered by SAP Business All-in-One, at Thrush Aircraft, Inc. (“Thrush”).

Founded in 2003, Thrush, headquartered in Albany, Georgia, manufactures a full range of aerial-application aircraft used in agriculture, forestry and fire fighting, and patrol roles around the world. Thrush builds the most durable and best flying aircraft, as rated by both pilots and operators alike, in the aerial-application industry.  Today, there are more than 2,200 Thrush aircraft operating in 80 countries around the world.

Thrush chose to simplify its business processes through an integrated solution that provided the functionality required to run their business, automate routine and manual tasks, and provide the flexibility and scalability that their legacy system lacked.  Their incumbent system was a highly customized application that had lost the flexibility to scale, and it cost them far too much to maintain.   Further, Thrush needed a much more robust production planning and execution platform to rectify inventory issues their current system helped cause and was unable to address.

The implementation of Emergys’ pre-packaged AES, based on SAP’s Best Practices for Manufacturing, was completed in 22 weeks, and delivers the scalability, flexibility and automation capabilities Thrush demanded.  Emergys’ AES for Manufacturing was deployed, in the cloud, including business intelligence and analytics, pre-configured reports and all the functionality required to run Thrush’s core business. Thrush’s business leaders were particularly impressed with the Materials Requirement Planning (“MRP”) functionality delivered, providing the much needed visibility and planning capabilities needed to manage their inventory.  Emergys’ AES for Manufacturing offered Thrush the most comprehensive ERP solution on the market, in the cloud and on-time.
