Jan. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Shalu Sharma blogger and author has published a new book called, “Mother Teresa of Calcutta: Finding God Helping Others: Life of Mother Teresa” and is now available on all Amazon stores across the world. Although Mother Teresa is known as someone who helped the poor but many people do not know lots of things about her. For instance, many don’t know that her real name was Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu and was born in Skopje, Macedonia and her parents were of Albanian decent. Not many people know that her father died when she was very young. This book looks at her early life and how she came to decide to leave for Ireland and become a nun.

The book then looks at her religious calling. Not many people know that she decided to become a nun not because anyone told her to do so, she became a nun because she heard a voice within that called out to her and dedicate her life to God. After she left her mother for Loreto Abbey in Rathfarnham in Ireland she decided to go to India where she started teaching at the Loreto convent in Calcutta. When she was going to Darjeeling on a train in 1946, she got a "the call within the call" asking her to help the poor. Whatever the case maybe, she was certainly disturbed by the absolutel poverty that existed in Calcutta and she wanted to do something about it. She then began her missionary work in 1948 just after India’s independence. She stated the Missionaries of Charity a diocesan congregation in 1950 which still exists to this day to care for "the hungry, the naked, the homeless, the crippled, the blind, the lepers, and all those people who feel unwanted, unloved, uncared for throughout society, people that have become a burden to the society and are shunned by everyone."

Mother Teresa of Calcutta: Finding God Helping Others: Life of Mother Teresa” looks at the life of this amazing woman who dedicated her entire life for the poor and the needy. The book also looks at how we as human beings can learn from the life of Mother Teresa.
