GrainPro Launches GrainSafe Mini™, New UItra Hermetic™ Storage and Transport Solutions

CONCORD, Mass. - Jan. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- GrainPro Inc., a not-only-for-profit company and the worldwide leader in post-harvest storage and drying solutions, launched four new Ultra Hermetic™ solutions. These solutions are designed to address storage and transport concerns faced by food producers and traders.

Headlining the products being launched is the GrainSafe Mini™ (GS Mini™), a small-volume granary-like storage with excellent water and gas resistance properties. The GS Mini is an affordable home storage solution designed for smallholder farmers with a capacity of 250kg for maize or 220kg for paddy.

The inner liner bag of the GS Mini is made from multilayered PE with gas barrier properties to keep effectively eliminate insects embedded with the stored commodities. Additional protection is provided an outer bag made of woven coated PE. It is equipped with a side spout for easy and convenient discharge of small quantities. Due to its flexibility as a collapsible granary, the Mini GS can be easily transported, assembled and stored.

The GS Mini comes after the release of GrainPro’s SuperGrainbag Farm™ (SGB Farm™). The SGB Farm is an inexpensive bag liner that protects farm commodities from infestation and fungal growth. Both solutions are designed for smallholder farmers, such as women farmers in Africa, who store a significant amount of farm commodities at home for personal consumption. With these solutions, smallholder farmers can now avail for themselves the proven Ultra Hermetic protection they need.

GrainPro also released three other new products in response to increasing global demands for temporary warehouse storage and the transport of loose commodities (bulk).

The patented TranSafeLiner Bulk™ (TSL Bulk™) is a patented Ultra Hermetic™ liner specifically designed for the easy loading of dry agricultural commodities in bulk. Made from recyclable multilayer PE with a proprietary barrier layer, commodities such as coffee and cocoa can be loaded with ease into the TSL Bulk using belt conveyors or pneumatic blowers. The TSL Bulk is the first liner for shipping containers designed for the transport of loose commodities. It comes with a bulkhead to prevent the commodities from bulging when it is being loaded.

The patented Cocoon Indoor™ is a gastight storage designed for one-time indoor use, although reuse is possible as long as the material is undamaged. The Cocoon Indoor acts like a large pouch wherein commodities stored in boxes, bags or big bags are loaded through the top opening and sealed using a gastight zipper. Once sealed, Oxygen (O₂) is reduced, while increasing Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) levels to control the infestation, microflora and oxidation.

Finally, the patented TranSafeLiner Indoor™ (TSL Indoor™) is a TranSafeLiner™ fitted for indoor warehouse storage. It is made from recyclable multilayer PE with a proprietary barrier layer that results in extremely low permeability to gases. It provides 30m³ of hermetic storage space where commodities can be stored for longer periods. It can be easily set up with the help of two metal frames, which can be purchased as an accessory from GrainPro.
