For the First Time in 27 Years, “The Promise” Begins in the Spring!

FORT WORTH, Texas - Feb. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- (Glen Rose, TX) --- The Promise in Glen Rose, Inc. is preparing for its first ever spring season of their 27 yearlong running production of the life of Jesus, The Promise at the Texas Amphitheatre in Glen Rose.

Utilizing an award-winning musical score, live animals, and a cast and crew of over 150 dedicated Christians, The Promise offers audiences a glimpse into history as they experience the New Testament unfold before their eyes under a blanket of stars at the breathtaking 3200 seat Texas Amphitheatre.

Based on Scripture and hailed as one of the most powerful stage experiences ever produced, The Promise spans the entire life of Jesus from the prophets who foretold His coming to His glorious Ascension in the clouds. The Promise brings a life-changing story, amazing special effects, stunning voices, and a moving experience of the heart that you will never forget. More than two decades after its debut, The Promise continues to be a beloved Texas destination, and a major draw to Glen Rose.

Narrated by a grandfather and his grandchildren, the story begins on the banks of the Paluxy River in historical Glen Rose, Texas. While hiking through the wilderness, the children come upon an old campsite that their Grandpa visited as a child. Grandpa begins to share a story with them that his grandfather shared with him in that very spot, a story about The Promised One! As the story “comes alive”, they find themselves among the prophets of The Old Testament foretelling the Life of Christ.  As the grandfather continues, the group is later present at the birthplace of Jesus, in the midst of shepherds and kings.   Straight out of the pages of scripture, the narrators and audience witness the birth, life, death, resurrection, and triumphant ascension of Jesus Christ.

In 2015, The Promise will be celebrating its 27th season in Glen Rose, Texas, with 18 scheduled performances on Friday and Saturday evenings from April 3^rd – May 30^th.
