NEW YORK - Feb. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- On February 8, Tuedon (Tee) Morgan will begin running the first of seven races on seven continents in seven days to raise funds and awareness about the National Black Marathoners Association’s (NBMA). The NBMA’s missions are to promote a healthy life style in the Black community and award college scholarships to high school seniors.

In 2007, this mother of four weighed 266 pounds. The weight on her small frame meant that she was in constant pain.  This is when she decided to  change her life. Five years later, she completed her first marathon (26.2 miles/42.2K).

She went on to distinguish herself in the international running community. In 2013, she completed running the World Marathon Majors. This consisted of running the Tokyo, London, Boston, New York, Chicago, and Berlin Marathons. The next year, she finished marathons on all seven continents, including Antarctica. Her schedule is as follows

- Feb. 8, 2015 - Carlton Classic Marathon (Oceania)

- Feb. 9, 2015 - Abu Dhabi Striders Marathon (Asia)

- Feb. 10, 2015 - Torcy International Marathon (Europe)

- Feb. 11, 2015 - The Carthage Race, Tunis (Africa)

- Feb. 12, 2015 - Lincoln's Birthday International Marathon, NYC (North America)

- Feb. 13, 2015 - Southern Cross Marathon, Punta Arenas (South America)

- Feb. 14, 2015 - Penguin Marathon (Antarctica)

NBMA members will greet her in New York City on February 12. The NBMA has awarded over $13,000 in scholarships. To make a donation, visit http://www.blackmarathoners.org/donations/.
