The program is a televised event at WCBD Studios, located in Mount. Pleasant. The operation of the program works to answer legal questions asked by those calling in. Attorney Guthrie teams up with additional South Carolina Lawyers to run the program efficiently and effectively. The incoming phone calls come from the general public. Question topics from the callers had a large array. Some topics consisted of estate planning, probate, family law, criminal law, personal injury, immigration, and many more practice areas.

The event consisted of most of Thursday, February 27^th, 2014, due to it being such a success. The event closed its lines once all the phone calls seemed to be dwindling out. The South Carolina Bar Ask A Lawyer Event serves as part of community service to the state. Attorney Guthrie was very pleased to be selected for such a great event. Not only was he able to engage with the community, but also helped the state. The event ran smoothly, and was greatly enjoyed by all.
