Mark S. Robinson of Kirkland Albrecht & Fredrickson reappointed to State Board of Public Accountancy

BRAINTREE, Mass. - Feb. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Mark S. Robinson, a founding partner at Kirkland Albrecht & Fredrickson, LLC (KAF) one of the leading CPA firms in the Boston area, has been reappointed to the State Board of Public Accountancy by former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick.

Robinson, who was originally appointed to the Board in 2006 by then Governor Mitt Romney, has been reappointed for a term ending in December of 2019, was reappointed in 2010 and will now be serving his third term ending in December of 2019.  He also currently serves the Board as Chairman, appointed in 2009 and reappointed in 2014.

The Board of Accountancy grants certificates and licenses to practice public accountancy to qualified individuals who comply with the requirements of the statute.  The Board monitors licensees’ practice of public accountancy to insure that the services provided to the public are in accordance with the ethical standards of Massachusetts General Laws and Board regulations.  The Board also insures that licensees have complied with all continuing education requirements necessary to renew their licenses.

Robinson, a Milton resident, was also recently reappointed as a member of the National Association of State Board of Accountancy Continuing Professional Education Committee.

He holds securities Series 6 and 66 licenses from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and has designation as both Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV).
