Kelley Blue Book Names 2015 Wrangler and Charger as Award Winners

GURNEE, Ill. - Feb. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Gurnee Dodge is proud to announce that they are now stocking two more award-winning vehicles: the 2015 Jeep Wrangler and 2015 Dodge Charger. Both of these models are available now at the dealership and have just been awarded Best Resale Value Awards from one of the world's leaders in auto value: Kelley Blue Book.

The 2015 Dodge Charger took the lead in the Full-Size Car category, edging out competition like the Ford Taurus and the Chevy Impala, and the Wrangler's recognition was in the Mid-Size SUV/Crossover class. This iconic Jeep did more than top its class, however.

The 2015 Wrangler was also named among Kelley Blue Book's top ten best resale values in the whole auto world, competing against everything from full-size pickups to subcompact cars. This was its fifth consecutive year in the top ten.

In order to determine the estimated resale value of a vehicle like the Wrangler or the Charger, a wide variety of factors come into play, including the previous history of reliability and value for the vehicle, the standard and available features, fuel economy, and overall price.

Kelley Blue Book spoke with Eric Ibara, the director of residual value consulting, in response to the awards: “The entire list of Top 10 Best Resale Value vehicles is dominated this year by trucks, SUVs and crossovers, which is a testament to the strength these categories will carry in the future.”

Judging by the number of crossovers and SUVs seen on the streets of Chicago and the suburbs, that seems like an accurate prediction. And for drivers who prefer a car to an SUV, it looks pretty clear that the Charger will continue to be one of the smartest sedan choices available.
