By: Gurnee Dodge Unveiled at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit, MI, the Dodge Viper ACR will start at an MSRP of $117,895 excluding destination and gas fees. According to Tim Kuniskis, the President and CEO of the Dodge and SRT brands, the Dodge Viper SRT is β...without doubt the best Viper ACR ever.β He mentioned the advanced technologies in aerodynamics, braking, and the tires that are sure to cement the vehicle as a true performance leader. It features new Carbon Ceramic brakes that have six-piston calipers, and high performance tires designed specifically for the Viper ACR. The engine is an iconic and hand-built 8.4L V10 engine that produces 645 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. This gives it the most torque of any naturally aspirated sports car in the world. Other features include lightweight materials and low-weight amenities like a 3-speaker sound system. All of the aspects of the vehicle are geared towards performance, so extra weight is not allowed. The Dodge Viper ACR was first introduced to the world in 1999, and the last time it was made was during the 2010 model year. Enthusiasts everywhere are eager for its return. Now that the vehicle has been announced, Dodge will be accepting orders for the new Dodge Viper ACR. The car is set to go into production during the third quarter of 2015, and will be made at the Connor Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit. Produced models will start appearing in dealerships like Gurnee Dodge later in the third quarter. For more information on the new Viper or to find out how to place an order, contact Gurnee Dodge.
