Eamon was born in 1892 and was leader for Ireland’s struggle for independence from Britain.

DeValera was head of the anti-treaty forces in the ensuing Irish Civil War 1922-23.

In 1926 Eamon DeValera founded Fianna Fáil became Head of Government and then President of Ireland 1959-73.

DeValera died in 1975.

James Augustine Aloysius Joyce was an Irish novelist and poet, considered to be one of the most influential writers in the modernist avant-garde of the early 20th century.

Some of James Joyce's books consisted of Ulysses, Finnegan's Wake, Dubliners and The Dead.

Born: February 2, 1882, Rathgar, Republic of Ireland.

Died: January 13, 1941, Zürich, Switzerland Bronze Statue.

Michael Collins Bronze Statue 23cm
Born in 1890 near Clonakilty in West Cork.

Collins was an Irish revolutionary leader, TD and founding father of Fianna Gael.

Michael was President of the IRB, Director of Intelligence for the IRA and member of the Irish Delegation of the Anglo-Irish Treaty.

In 1922, during the Irish Civil War, Collins was shot by the Black and Tans in an ambush at Béal na mBláth in West Cork.

James Connolly was an Irish republican and socialist leader, aligned to syndicalism and the Industrial Workers of the World.

He was born in the Cowgate area of Edinburgh, Scotland, to Irish immigrant parents.

Died: May 12, 1916, Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin, Republic of Ireland.
