Molex Incorporated Expands RF Solution Capabilities with Acquisition of SDP Telecom

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Feb. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Earlier this year, Molex Incorporated announced that in conjunction with certain affiliates, it has acquired SDP Telecom. Based out of Montreal, Canada, SDP Telecom designs and manufactures radio frequency/microwave solutions for the wireless communication industry.

In a move towards realizing the company’s vision of offering total integration solutions to the markets they serve, Molex senior vice president, Tim Ruff stated that, “Together, Molex and SDP will broaden our RF/Microwave product capabilities and create additional value for our customers in the growing wireless infrastructure market”.

Surely this decision was influenced by the amplified use of smart devices globally – a percentage that is continuously on the upsurge – contributing to the spike in data that is carried over wireless infrastructure.  Across the board, wireless carriers have invested significantly in improving and upgrading infrastructure to keep their services competitive in the industry. SDP Telecom’s solutions are currently utilized by top tier wireless infrastructure equipment manufacturers to improve signal transmission efficiency over wireless networks. SDP Telecom will be managed by the RF/Microwave Business Unit of Molex’s Global Integrated Products Division.
