Utah Jiffy Lube’s Help Fight Back Against Muscle Disease During Mda's Shamrocks Program

SALT LAKE CITY - March 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Participating Jiffy Lube locations throughout Utah are once again teaming up with the Muscular Dystrophy Association for the 33rd annual Shamrocks mobile program to help raise funds for local families affected by muscle disease.

         From March 1 to March 31, customers can show their support for MDA by purchasing and signing a $1 green or $5 gold Shamrocks mobile while visiting participating Jiffy Lube locations in Utah, Salt Lake, Davis,  Iron and Washington counties.

“MDA summer camp is often referred to as the ‘best week of the year’ by MDA families. With support from our generous customers and employees, we know we can make a difference again in 2015 and ensure that some very special kids can spend a barrier-free week at camp creating life-long memories”, said Jiffy Lube’s Account Manager, Laura Worthen.
         Jiffy Lube teamed up with MDA in 2012 for its Shamrocks program. In 2013, Jiffy Lube and its customers raised more than $25,000 during the Shamrocks program and 2014 more than $32,000 was raised.

Funds raised at Jiffy Lube in Utah will help send area children affected by muscular dystrophy and related diseases to MDA summer camp at Camp Kostopulos in Salt Lake City.

The program also helps to support MDA’s worldwide research program and national network of 200 medical clinics, including the MDA Clinic at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
