Get Ready For Easter At Hop Around The Shops

CHICAGO - March 18, 2015 - PRLog -- The shops on the 3200 to 3900 blocks of North Southport Avenue will be hosting the 7^th annual Hop Around
the Shops event in March. This is a fun-filled FREE event for the entire family featuring shopping discounts, freebies, and adoptable dogs from three local rescue organizations.

The annual event helps support local neighborhood shops and also increases awareness about the benefits of owning a pet and pet adoption. Pets from Chicago Canine Rescue, The Anti-Cruelty Society and Don't Bully My Breed will be on-site waiting to meet their forever family.

Did you know that owning a pet can boost your mood, help alleviate stress and keep you healthy? "Having a dog adds more to your life than just a cuddle buddy. My dogs have helped me emotionally through difficult times and we've even lost weight together through running, " says Candace Canty, founder of local business Dogaholics and CCR Board Member.

This event is open to all ages and will go on rain or shine. So come out and enjoy springtime in Chicago with great shopping specials and visit with adoptable dogs from our city. Hopping around shops has never been so fun!
