Introduction to Play Writing Course from Theatrix USA

DENVER - March 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Theatrix USA is hosting an intensive, eight-week Introduction to Play Writing Course taught by professional playwright Mike Broemmel, an author with multiple theatrical credits. His work includes The Baptism, The Row and Goddess People. Goddess People is slated to make its world premiere in Denver on April 9. The Baptism premiered earlier this year to consistently sold out houses. (Students that register by April 1 receive two complimentary tickets to opening night of Goddess People, a $40 value.)

Class sessions are scheduled on Tuesday evenings, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. beginning April 21 and running through June 9.

Each individual class session is two hours, for a total of 16 hours of class time. Class size is limited to 10 students to ensure significant individualized assistance as well as useful interaction between participants. In addition to class room lectures and discussions, each student receives a playwright's resource book created by Broemmel and available only through this program.

Upon the completion of the eight-week course, a student will have finished work on a one-act play. In addition, each student-created play will be presented in staged readings by professional actors to live audiences. The one-act play will also be considered for a full production later in 2015 or in 2016.
