Gamers Unite For 60+ Hour Charity Live Stream Event 3/27/15

March 26, 2015 - PRLog -- In response to the recent, sudden hospitalization of Mark Fischbach, a Youtuber with a community of over 6.8 million subscribers who goes by the handle Markiplier, members of his community will be playing games to raise money for the non-profit Child's Play in his stead tomorrow, Friday March 27th. Markiplier, who normally broadcasts a monthly live stream to benefit various non-profits, had successful surgery to remove scar tissue after experiencing sudden pain & was admitted to the hospital this past weekend. His community immediately rallied behind him getting the hashtag #GetBetterMark into the number 1 trending slot on Twitter and inspiring the round robin charity live stream event where 6+ broadcasters will switch off to continually play video games through the weekend.

Markiplier himself has been a rising star in the Youtube and gaming community. Being the 71st most subscribed Youtube channel with over 1.77 billion views keeps a man busy. Recently he's been invited to the visit the White House with several other youtubers and co-hosted the SXSW Gaming Awards, but through it all he has continued to keep up with his 2 video a day release schedule as well as his live streams for various charities. It's this dedication to his fan base and his philanthropy over the years that has inspired his community to step up with this event while he's recovering from surgery.
