Institute for Financial Literacy Announces Winners of the 2015 EIFLE Awards

Recipients honored for their distinguished accomplishments in developing, implementing and promoting successful financial literacy education worldwide
 
SAN ANTONIO - April 1, 2015 - PRLog -- The Institute for Financial Literacy (www.FinancialLit.org), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization whose mission is to promote effective financial education and counseling, is pleased to announce the winners of the 2015 Excellence In Financial Literacy Education (EIFLE) Awards (www.EIFLEawards.org), which were presented today at a gala ceremony during the Annual Conference on Financial Education in San Antonio, Texas. Now in its ninth year, the EIFLE Awards were created to acknowledge innovation, dedication and the commitment of individuals and organizations that support financial literacy education worldwide.

This year's competition was one of our most diverse, with nominations from around the globe showing demonstrating the international importance of recognizing those at the forefront of financial education. Our panel of judges considered nearly 100 nominations and conferred 15 EIFLE Awards :

·         Children’s Education Program of the Year, Credit and Debit – CPA Canada’s Post Secondary Program

·         Children’s Education Program of the Year, General – Financial Education Program for Children and Teenagers: “Valores de future”

·         Children’s Education Program of the Year, Money Management – Budget Challenge Road Test

·         Adult’s Education Program of the Year, General – Your Financial Mastery: Financial Literacy for the Real World

·         Adult’s Education Program of the Year, Credit – Identity Theft: What you Need to Know

·         Adult’s Education Program of the Year, Money Management – Thinking Money: The Psychology Behind Our Best and Worst Financial Decisions

·         Instructional Game of the Year – Renegade Buggies

·         Children’s Book of the Year, General – O.M.G Official Money Guide for Teenagers by Susan Beacham & Michael Beacham

·         Children’s Book of the Year, Saving and Investing – Counting with Common Cents: Penny’s Journey by Deirdre McCarthy; Illustrations by Angela Rizza

·         Adult’s Book of the Year, General – Filling the FAFSA: The Edvisors Guide to Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid by Mark Kantrowitz & David Levy

·         Adult’s Book of the Year, Money Management – Money Guide 2015 by Johnathan Clements

·         Adult’s Book of the Year, Risk Management – Protecting You and Your Money: A Guide to Avoiding Identity Theft and Fraud by Kelley Keehn

·         Organization of the Year, For Profit – Experian

·         Organization of the Year, Nonprofit – Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis
