OAKLAND – March 24, 2015 -- Tyrone Cosey, market vice president for the Northwestern Region for Operation HOPE announced today that the HOPE Inside office in Oakland would join Citibank, MUFG Union Bank and the East Bay Church of Religious Science to host the first All Faith Financial Freedom Fair on Saturday, March 28.  Julius Robinson, managing director of Corporate Social Responsibility for MUFG Union Bank, who is also board chair for HOPE’s Northwest Region, will provide opening remarks.

‎Duane Webb senior vice president Strategic Markets of Citibank and Reverend Elouise Oliver, an African American elder who is Senior Pastor of the East Bay Church of Religious Science and will welcome the event at the East Bay Church of Religious Science on 4130 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, CA from 8 – 2pm.

Attendees will receive quality information about Homeownership, Entrepreneurship Training, Interactive Financial Education Seminars and Financial Wellness Resources and a free box lunch.

Princess Paulmerie (http://blog.operationhope.org/2014/05/oakland-7th-grader-...), a HOPE Business in the Box student pitch contest winner, will provide the box lunches for the event. Since making an extraordinary start Paulmerie has continued to grow her idea, Sweet Tooth Bakery, into a profitable business, Cosey noted.

Since 2004, the Oakland HOPE Inside at Bank of the West has provided on-the-ground, in-person support to people looking to take back their lives by getting their financial house in order. Through one-on-one counseling renters become homeowners, small business dreamers become small business owners and the hopeless become the hopeful. More than 100,000 youth and adults in the Bay Area have already been empowered through HOPE workshops and services.
