Follow on Google News | DC of Gurgaon graced ‘The Global Gurgaon Governance Conclave’By: REDCO The conclave was aimed to address rising disconnect between the builder and citizens and to bridge the gap between them. The discussion was concentrated more on the problems of plotted areas of Gurgaon and the planning of new Gurgaon which is coming up. During the conclave it was announced that a website named www.Propchill.com has been created where people can rate their experiences they had with the builders from whom they have bought the property. This will help the buyers to get a better idea about the projects and builders around because public ratings are always more authentic and reliable then any certifications. It was proposed that the maintenance management should be directly taken care by the citizens. An escrow account will be created where a representative of builder and RWA will jointly be the signing authority. Secondly it was proposed that an independent arbitrator will be appointed. Builder and buyer, either party can approach the arbitrator and get their grievances addressed. This will prevent them from going to courts and will save time and money. 'This meeting will be organised after each three months to review the work progress' said, Col. Prithvi Nath, Secretary REDCO . Speaking on the occasion Sh. T.L. Satyaprakash, Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon said, “All good builders should collectively stand against the builders who are doing wrong and boycott them by creating peer pressure. Today most of the builders are not wrong but few wrong doers have maligned the image of good works which are being carved by the builders. I would also suggest that open areas/parks should be converted into community sports ground where people from different strata of societies can play together and which gives special space to the underprivileged of the society as well.” The Global Gurgaon Governance Conclave was organised by The Real Estate Development Council (REDCO) of Haryana. It was founded with the objective to improve upon the Realty sector through mutual support, coordination and dissemination of information among stakeholders to further the concept of a healthy business atmosphere. The council, recognizing the need to bridge the gap between builders and citizens, collaborated with Gurgaon administration with the DC as patron and heads of RWAs to elaborate upon circumstances and situations arising out of the disconnect between the two. The council acts as the apex forum to address any issues cropping up during construction or related to any project of the constituting members. This would enable the citizens to table their grievances to the council which it turn would address both parties evenly to cleave an amicable solution. REDCO is a transparent body which recognizes the CM as its chief Patron with HUDA acting as the administrator on its panel. REDCO, boasting of stalwarts in Real Estate, Gurgaon has taken a long leap to include all stakeholders within the ambit of development. It seeks to dissolve the element of arbitrariness associated with head honchos, by bringing the problem statement right to the centre. An aggrieved citizen can directly approach the council with their concerns, have it addressed by the panel which would cater to the interests of both parties. Rohit Malik, President REDCO said, “With the formation of REDCO, we are trying to enable confidence in the people and act as a trust building enterprise that has evolved on the ABC (Administration, Builders, and Citizens) model for a holistic infrastructure growth. We have already started working on the ABC model and have collected 35 lakhs property tax in one week from plotted area of phase 3 with the support of RWA.” Picture Caption: - Left to Right ( Mr. S S Chauhan, Mr. Sulekh Jain,STP ,Mr. T.L Satyaprakash,DC, Mr. Rohit Malik,President REDCO ,Col.
