ATDC’s ‘Rozgar Mela 2015’ fetches jobs to 118 youngsters

GURGAON, India - March 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC) Gurgaon, India’s Largest Quality Vocational Training Provider for the Apparel Industry organized 10 days ‘Rozgar Mela’ for its students at their Gurgaon Campus. The rozgar mela was organized by the NHO  placement cell of ATDC.As many as 118 skilled youths have been picked up by various apparel companies at the ‘Rozgar Mela’.152 candidates from 14 different centres of ATDC participated in this mela and 118 of them successfully got placed.

The rozgar mela witnessed more than 14 top export companies and apparel houses of Delhi NCR including, B. L. International Noida, Richa Global Exports Pvt. Ltd Noida, Manesar, Gurgaon Harmany Garment (Satya Paul) Manesar, Paramount Pvt. Ltd. Okhla, Noida, Ritu Kumar, Gurgaon, Modelama Export Gurgaon, etc.

“ATDC has given a new direction to my life. Coming from a marginalized family, it was difficult for me to pursue my higher studies. But ATDC helped me and supported me to realize my dream of studying and working in apparel sector. I have job right after I finished my training and now I will be able to support my family and live a better life.”  Neha Gupta student of ATDC who got placed in Rozgar Mela.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Darlie Koshy, DG & CEO, ATDC & IAM said “The proof of the pudding is in the eating we are particular that the trained candidates get maximum wage employment which is the litmus test for their employability. Lot of girls and boys are even willing to relocate away from their habitat in search of a dependable income. Nowadays many women take up work at home by doing Gotta Patti etc, which is also part of fashion industry. We are happy more and more companies choose and prefer ATDC candidates even by those who have in company or other training centers. ATDC has an integrated approach… skill training without employment linkage is a futile exercise.”
