Follow on Google News | MSys Technologies to Present a Paper at SNIA Data Storage Innovation Conference, April 2015MSys Technologies announces partnership with the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) and presentation of a paper on hyper-scale computing for enterprises in SNIA’s Data Storage Innovation Conference (DSICON) in April.
The paper will be presented by MSys’s VP of Engineering Chirag Jog. The presentation will give a fresh perspective on enterprise IT systems and why an overhaul is necessary. New software development paradigms have been introduced in the recent times to take full advantage of the next generation hardware solutions or hyper-scale computing solutions, such as micro services, container-based deployments, and cluster management tools. The presentation by Chirag aims to provide the nature of next-gen enterprise applications and their data requirements. It will showcase how potential IT value is created from applications and help you understand the ingredients of hyper-scale computing. “MSys has worked on certain key tools and technologies that will benefit the storage community at large. This presentation is the result of our keen research in this domain, and I hope it will spark new thoughts in the industry circles.” --Chirag Jog, VP of Engineering, MSys About SNIA Among the storage industry enthusiasts, innovators, and leaders, SNIA needs no introduction. The Storage Networking Industry Association was established back in 1997; it’s a non-profit trade association for building and maintaining vendor-neutral technologies mainly in storage networking. It’s made up of almost 400 member organizations, including storage technology companies, vendors, and channel partners, for which SNIA helps develop technology standards. SNIA is headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and has several regional offices around the world. DSICON DSICON (Data Storage Innovation Conference) is an annual storage conference that brings together top leaders and innovators in the storage domain to share ideas and insights on storage technologies. DSI’s agenda is to encompass a variety of topics including big data, cloud storage, data storage management, data security, distributed storage, free/open-source storage software, energy efficiency, and object storage. More information about DSICON is available from the official website of SNIA at SNIA.org (http://www.snia.org/ “SNIA is quite well known in data storage technology circles. We are aiming to make this conference a success by coming up with some key insights that we believe will uplift the current beliefs in the storage world.” --Sanjay Sehgal, CEO, MSys Technologies Major sponsors for this year’s DSICON include biggies such as Microsoft, Intel, NEC, Dell, Samsung, IDC, and IEEE. Also, various sessions on an array of topics will be part of the conference. DSICON for has been for several years maintained the reputation for being a one-stop shop for vendor-neutral education for storage specialists, solutions from industry leaders, a venue for demonstration of storage innovations, and storage networking. The conference starts on April 7 and concludes on April 9 in Hotel Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, California.
