2015 South Florida Pet Expo Announces Two-Day Show for 2016

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - April 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Over 11,000 attendees (and their pets) walked through the South Florida Pet Expo, which was held on March 21^st at the South Florida Expo Center. The show featured educational and entertaining guests such as Animal Planet’s Shorty Rossi and Hercules from Pit Boss, a miniature horse from Peaceful Ridge Rescue, and lure chasing from Swift Paws!

Due to popular demand and interest, Amazing Pet Expos has announced plans to expand the South Florida event to a two-day expo in 2016. This follows two earlier two-day events held in Southern California and Las Vegas, as well as an announcement to expand the San Diego Pet Expo to the 2-day format.

“I’m very excited that they decided to make next years’ [Pet Expo] into a two-day show! I expect the level of adoptions, donations, and clinic clients that we already get from the one-day event to expand exponentially,” says Tamera DeMello, President of Animal Aid, Inc, the Official Low-Cost Vaccination Providers of the South Florida Pet Expo, “The type of people who go to the show are very serious about their pets. They attend with the intent to get vaccinations for pets, purchase a couple of treats, and really learn about what they can do to improve the lives of their animals.”

On top of so many exciting features, the South Florida Pet Expo also facilitated over 150 adoptions through 26 different local rescue groups. Animal Aid administered 70-plus affordable vaccinations and microchips throughout the eight-hour day. The event was a hit to both attendees and the 86 exhibitors that were on site to sell product, educate the public, adopt out animals, and entertain guests.

“We’ve received so many requests from exhibitors and attendees over the years about moving to a larger two-day show in order to reach more people and make a larger impact,” says Ethan Barnett, Vice President of Community Partnerships for Amazing Pet Expos, “A huge part of our initiative is to help people become better pet companions, and we felt that the addition of the extra day in South Florida really helps accomplish that. We’re so ecstatic to expand our format to further benefit the local South Florida pet community as we continue to unveil phase one of our two-part rebrand.
