By: TATOC Based near Adeje in the south of the island, Pearly Grey Ocean Club comprises 105-studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Facilities on-site include: heated swimming pool; children’s play area; Origins gym, wellness and fitness; English bowls; restaurant; bars and Jazzy Salon offering a range of treatments and nail bar. There is Wi-Fi access across most of the resort. The resort has achieved RCI Gold Crown status as well as TripAdvisor’ Explaining the resort’s application for membership, developer James Beckley said: “TATOC has grown as an organisation and over the last few years they have become a respected and credible voice for resorts run by owners’ committees. “The brand of TATOC brings further credibility to Pearly Grey Ocean Club as an affiliated member and supports the business model of transparency and integrity that Pearly Grey embraces.” Harry Taylor, TATOC’s executive chairman commented: “I am delighted when mature resorts join TATOC because there is so much experience and knowledge to share. We were very pleased when James Beckley, the developer, joined us at this year’s TATOC conference and hope to see him and his committee at future events.” The Timeshare Association (Timeshare Owners and Committees), known as TATOC, was formed 25 years ago and is the only elected consumer association representing the interests of timeshare owners in Europe. The mission of TATOC is to safeguard and enhance the timeshare holiday experience for existing and prospective users and to be the voice of owners. In recent years, TATOC has focused not only on increasing the membership base but also raising the profile of the association, establishing TATOC as the recognised voice of the timeshare consumer and an informed point of contact. The not-for-profit association is now a regular, unbiased contributor to the consumer press and works closely with the U.K.’s Trading Standards offices, law enforcement, Citizen’s Advice Bureau, the CMA (formerly the OFT) and other authorities.
