DreamStyle Media co-founder to host women's empowerment event

INDIANAPOLIS - April 7, 2015 - PRLog -- When it comes to the world of being a doting entrepenuer, Indianapolis native and celebrity publicist, Samantha Pounds of DreamStyle Media knows that hard work truly pays off which is why she happy to announce her hosting of I Am Women Empowerment Series, to kick off in Indianapolis April 11 at 11 a.m. at Comfort Suites City Centre, 515 S. West St.

Pounds, who is the co-founder of DreamStyle Media, a small boutique public relations and photograpyhy firm based in Indianapolis will host the event which is presented by Ebony Archer and Inspired By Purpose Inc., based in Chicago.

"I am very delighted and honored to host this event. We as women already go through so much, so for us to have that one day where we can truly just let our guard down and let loose, it will be great," said Pounds.

The event will feature speakers including Joyce Licorish, president of The Cupboard In., a non-profit organization based in Indianapolis that is known for its theatrical performances including most recently, the touring production of Oprah Winfrey's The Color Purple.

Local women's organizations and businesses will be represented for Saturday's event and the infamous goody bags will be given away for each woman to take home.

A journalist by trade, Pounds has a natrual knack for connecting with people and looks forward to the opportunity to doing the same for Saturday's event.

"In a world were racism heavily divides our culture, its a great feeling to know this event isn't just geared towards African-American women, but all women and that's very important because at the end of the day, we are all human." said Pounds.
