Saddle Ranch Pictures Presents MacAfrica's Tribeca Soirée

NEW YORK - April 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Saddle Ranch Pictures presents MacAfrica’s Tribeca Soirée. This private, invitation only reception will be held in New York on Thursday, April 16, 2015 to benefit the PetCARE TV Education Fund. MacAfrica’s soirees are well known nationally and internationally, typically during film festivals, award seasons and, premieres. Her Soirées attract some of the most influential and talented professionals in film, television and music.

The event is sponsored by Troika Pictures’ film “THE ROAD WITHIN”, starring Robert Sheehan, Dev Patel, Zoë Kravitz with Robert Patrick and Kyra Sedgwick to benefit PetCARE TV’s Education Fund.  PetCARE TV is a national digital television network that delivers pet education programming year-round to a national audience in 1,750 veterinary hospitals and animal shelters, and uses the power of its brand and platforms to educate pet parents and animal health and welfare advocates on important health and wellness issues.

“The Road Within”, scheduled for release on April 17, 2015, is about a young man with Tourette's Syndrome who embarks on a road trip with his recently deceased mother's ashes. Actor Robert Sheehan is best known for television roles such as Nathan Young in Misfits and Darren in Love/Hate, as well as the 2009 film Cherrybomb.  English actor Dev Patel’s popularity catapulted after playing Jamal Malik in Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire, for which he won a number of awards, including a Critics' Choice Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.  Zoë Kravitz has appeared in the films No Reservations, The Brave One, and is best known for her role as Christina in the Divergent Series.  Robert Patrick is a Saturn Award winner who has starred in a number of critically acclaimed films.  Kyra Sedgwick is most recognized for her starring role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama, The Closer.

The Soirée’s special guest hosts are Philip M. Cohen, Executive Producer of “The Call” with Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin and, Co-Executive Producer of “The Road Within”, Shad Stastney, Co-Owner and COO of Saddle Ranch Pictures and, MacAfrica herself.
