By: American Pet Professionals Robyn Elman said, “Over the past four years our amazing clients, employees and franchise owners have collected over $9,000 worth of new and used pet products for our Mayday for Mutts drive. People don’t always think to donate their pets gently used or outgrown pet products – and animal rescue groups always need pet products. We are really looking forward to working with Road to Home Rescue Support this year and be able to donate these gently used and often many brand new items to them,” stated Robyn Elman, President of In Home Pet Services. Mayday for Mutts is a month long pet product drive in May to collect and then donate much needed pet products to local rescue groups. Spring- “Road To Home Rescue Support is a Long Island volunteer non-profit organization comprised of passionate animal lovers and advocates. 100% of our funding goes to veterinary care, foster care and rehoming of rescue dogs and cats. We are especially committed to seniors and those with special-needs. Every donation helps our rescue dogs and cats on their Road To Home, where they can lead a life of dignity and joy. That is our mission and we are deeply grateful for the support of caring animal lovers like you and everyone at IHPS. Together we can help those in need for many years to come - thank you for joining us in this mission,” said, Elyse Giurco, Founder & President, Road To Home Rescue Support. Robyn Elman came up with concept four years ago as many of her clients were asking her where they could donate a gently used crate or leash. Each year a different rescue group is selected, it is a win-win and a green way to give back as well. Robyn collects all the products at her location in Bellerose, N.Y. for the month long event and a most of her 12 franchisees also participate in the collection.
