Improving Software Industry Sales Productivity in the 21st Century

ISTANBUL - April 23, 2015 - PRLog -- In addition to the guest lecture at the Sabanci University on 8 May, The İTU Arı Teknokent[1] (http://#_ftn1)in Istanbul, Turkey has also invited TBK Consult’s managing partner Hans Peter Bech to guest lecture on a subject that is currently top of the agenda of information technology executives worldwide.

"The Turkish software market is growing rapidly,” says Fikret Idil, Executive Partner, TBK Consult, Turkey, “but how can Turkish software companies compete on a global scale? We know that Turkish software companies need to understand the changes and challenges faced to take advantage of the market opportunities, but how do we go about it? We are looking forward to hearing Hans Peter's perspective on these changes and what companies need to do differently to become successful in the future."

The information technology industry, which is a change enabler for all other industries, is undergoing profound and rapid changes itself.

On the supply side the market is affected by declining development and delivery costs, changing delivery formats, decreasing barriers of entry, extreme economy of scale benefits and unprecedented global market reach opportunities.

On the demand side the market is affected by increased transparency, steadily more literate users, preferences for simplicity and “best of breed” solutions as well as fundamental changes in the decision making processes.

Hans Peter Bech will review these changes and will discuss how they will require a new charter between sales and marketing departments, as well as generating the need for completely new skill sets in marketing and sales management.
