Fridge Art Fair is pleased to announce the exclusive release of Kristin Anderson's inaugural SMS text-based project, “HERE," which will be limited to the run of the Fair along with its lineup of special projects, and sponsors. All events will take place at the main Fair venue at 150 Delancey Street hosted and sponsored by Retro Bar & Grill. Those who opt in to “HERE” will receive the non-intrusive interjections on their mobile phones from the artist that, in her words, “Bring awareness into your day.” In addition to Anderson’s work, the Media Art Program curated by Linda DiGusta will feature video works by Arnold Brooks and Agni Zotis. The Fuller Family Foundation of Miami sponsors the presentation of The Miami Project:Diana Contreras & Friends a collaboration with Street Art NYC (streetartnyc.org,http://www.dianacontreras.com), and Fridge also features a project space, including a large-scale installation at the entrance, Virginia Commonwealth University art students. Eric Ginsburg’s Pet Portrait Project, a sale of commissioned art to benefit BARC (also our gala beneficiary) Retro, will be open during all Fair hours serving fine food and drink, with Fridge specials as well as happy hour from 5-7 pm. Other sponsors for the Gala include Heineken, Zevia, Sugar Sweet Sunshine Bakery, and Perrier. Regular Fair hours are Friday and Saturday, May 15-16, from 5-10 pm and Sunday, May 17 from 12-6pm.
