Spring Clean-Up Day at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County

MONTEREY, Calif. - April 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Club Blue is leading a volunteer effort for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County (BGCMC) in cleaning up the Seaside Clubhouse for “Spring Clean-Up Day.” Club Blue of BGCMC is a network of Young Professional Leaders, ages 21 to 40, connecting to make a difference by raising resources and encouraging others to become involved through leadership, volunteerism and advocacy for BGCMC.

Spring Clean-Up Day is on Saturday, May 9th, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Seaside Clubhouse, located at 1332 La Salle Avenue in Seaside. Refreshments are provided for volunteers.

About Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County (BGCMC) has played an integral role in the community for over 47 years.  BGCMC provides a safe haven for over 800 children and teens a day, offering programs that focus on Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Leadership. BGCMC operates Clubhouses in Seaside and Salinas, extension sites at El Sausal and La Paz Middle Schools in Salinas, Fairview Middle School in Gonzales, and a site at the CHISPA Sea Garden Community in Castroville.  Club members are offered mentoring and guidance to maintain on-grade school progression, graduation from high school, and prepare for college and careers.  Nearly 90% of the total budget comes from generous individuals, corporations and foundations.
